How to Apply Wall Monogram
Before application, your surface should be clean, dry, smooth and free of dirt or dust. Graphics can be applied to walls, wood, glass, metal, etc.
To apply your monogram:
| 1. Prepare your monogram Your wall monogram has been cut and is sandwiched between a white backing paper and a top layer of clear transfer tape. Lay each monogram on a flat surface, graphic side down. Press firmly over the entire decal with the edge of a credit card or similar object. You are re-activating the bond between the decal and the clear transfer tape. | |
| 2. Plan Your placement Arrange your monogram on your surface by placing a piece of tape on the top and either side. Make sure you are happy with your layout before you begin applying the monogram; it is removable but cannot be repositioned. You should be looking at the monogram and reading the letters in the proper order. | |
| 3.Applying the monogram The monogram should be taped to the wall at this point. Fold in half, either horizontally or vertically; Flip the decal up using the crease as a hinge and gently peel back half of the backing; the vinyl decal should be sticking to the transfer tape. If some of the decal remains stuck to the white backing, stop. Rub down on the transfer tape in that area and slowly continue peeling until the white backing is completely detached. Cut off backing with scissors. Once you have cut off the backing roll down from the crease, smooth down with hands. Repeat with second half until entire monogram is stuck to the wall with protective sheet on top. Take a credit card or plastic transfer tool and work over entire monogram. | |
| 5. Remove Transfer Tape Gently peel protective sheet away from the monogram at a 180 degree angle (flush with the wall) cutting away as necessary until whole monogram is finished |
